2017 National Teacher

Laura Cunningham

As a graduate of the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, Laura spent her early career working in the Commercial Art world.

When she left the daily grind of fulltime work to raise her two children, she continued to do freelance artwork. In addition she taught Art classes locally and at a local 4-H quilting program.|

Today, she is blending free motion quilting techniques with ART TECHNIQUES.

As an artist, she is inspired by nature and looks for ways to incorporate her inspiration into her quilting.

Free Motion 101 and Beyond

This class is geared for true beginners as well as
those with some experience who want to improve their skills.

Zentangle/Paisley Fusion

For all you free motion quilters. I have taken the
Zentangle idea from the art world and combined it with traditional quilting designs to come up with my original concept - Zentangle/Paisley Fusion.

Students will be creating an allover quilted fabric to use as a wall hanging (a finished piece of art) or fabric to use for a purse, tote, or whatever you can imagine.
